Discovery Education
Discovery Education is another great resource to use in the classroom! This site not only has videos and activities on math concepts, but also many other subjects as well. This resource can be used to enhance student learning and professional development for the teacher. Although you have to have an account to view the videos, it is well worth it to bring better understanding for students! Students and parents can receive home work help from the website as well as participate in the WebMath program!

Sue Glascoe's Blog
Ms. Sue Glascoe is a professor, media consultant and blogger. I found her blog to be very beneficial and I feel that other teachers will find it helpful as well. Not only does Ms. Glascoe offer her own experiences, but she offers multiple ways to incorporate technology in the classroom. I feel that I will use this in my classroom to stay on top of the changing technology and to enhance my lessons. I can gain new insight on the things that Ms. Glascoe does and learn about the resources (such as sifteo cubes) that she blogs about! Just as my students can learn from my blog, I can learn from her blog!
Enjoy!

Glogster
I found this website while reading Professor Sue Glascoe's blog. This website offers a great program that allows teachers to create interactive "posters" on the internet. These posters can have almost anything on them including, class announcements, assignments, class notes, letters to parents, etc. I think this is a great use of technology and the control can actually be given to the students, depending on the grade level. In my classroom I would use this to post announcements for our class, feature student work (parent permission required), and other important aspects of our class. I want students to have something that they can really enjoy and something that will assist them as well. The only downside to the site is that you have to pay a fee for using it. On a brighter note if the entire school buys it, it is only about two dollars per account a year!
